Modern auth — login + password reset
PBKDF2-hashed passwords with dual-read transparent upgrade for legacy
users, account lockout after 5 wrong attempts, password-reset by email
with single-use 1-hour tokens. Configure SMTP under
Settings → SMTP so reset email actually delivers.
